Philip & Carmen | Ribble Valley Lancashire Wedding
This wedding was SO special to me - Philip is my wonderful cousin, so to be asked to photograph his wedding to Carmen was a total honour! Their day was so full of love, joy and laughter - they barely stopped smiling! They were incredibly fortunate with the weather, it's so rarely sunny in Lancashire (at least, when I've been to visit...!).
Carmen got ready with her bridesmaids and her family in a rented cottage in the outskirts of Clitheroe. She was so chilled, and everyone was very excited about the upcoming day. Her floral crown looked awesome, she'd made all of the bouquets with her family that week. After a short journey to the church, it was time for the service. The church was full of their family and friends, including Carmen's family from Canada and the Netherlands. It was such a beautiful, emotional service (just look at that photo of Carmen reaching the top of the aisle!) After tea, cake and a confetti send off, I headed to Sawley Abbey with the newlyweds for their couple portraits and bridal party photos. It was beautiful!
In the late afternoon we joined all of their guests at the reception venue, St Michael & St John Parish Centre, which was decorated beautifully with fairy lights and flowers. Philip and Carmen's friends organised some games for the guests, which were hilarious! After a delicious hog roast dinner, Philip revealed that he'd written a song for Carmen (around the time of their first anniversary!) and performed it with two friends. It was INCREDIBLE - I would happily play it on Spotify all the time if it was released! Just look at the photos of Carmen's face when she found out the surprise! After an awesome dance routine and ceilidh, they headed off with a sparkler exit - so beautiful!
Thank you for having me to photograph your wedding, I LOVED it!
