Steve & Helena | A wedding in the Surrey countryside

Helena and her six bridesmaids got ready at a beautiful house belonging to a family friend on the edge of Guildford. It was ideal for photos - so light and spacious! The weather teased us and kept changing between rain and sun all morning. Thankfully we didn’t see any more rain in the afternoon or evening at all!

Their wedding ceremony was held at St Saviour’s Church in Guildford (where I got married, and also go to!) where an emotional Steve watched Helena walk up the aisle. Their service was personal, moving and beautiful. I then headed off with the newlyweds (and Joel Parry, their excellent videographer) for their photos in a gorgeous open space near Albury Heath.

We then went to their reception which was held at Duke of Kent School. There was so much space for their guests to be both inside and outside, where they enjoyed Pimms and sweets from the sweet cart! Their amazing food was made by Chef Ian and his team, and eaten in the school dining hall which had been transformed into a wonderful reception venue. Following the speeches, they then had an EPIC party in the performing arts centre. Their guests were certainly keen to dance as you can see in the photos below!

Congratulations again Steve & Helena, and thank you for asking me to photograph your beautiful wedding day!
